I got two IANLWIs at one (work) party. The first guy thanked me for all the work I'd done on the party. Except, I had just shown up. I told him that, and he said "Oh, I saw you carrying a tray of food in and thought you were helping." Yeah, that wasn't me. Should I add that I've worked with this guy NUMEROUS times? And that Lisa (who was helping with the party) and I weren't wearing anything remotely similar? He seemed really cheerful, though, so maybe he was a little drunk (yeah, it was that kind of office party, with karaoke and alcohol and everything). We decided that maybe if we stood together, people would see us both existing in the same place at the same time and realize we are actually two distinct people.
In the second incident, a guy just called me Lisa. However, he insisted he knew I was me. He said he does that to everyone (calls them other names, not necessarily calls them all Lisa). Regardless, I told him he would get blogged about. Hi Knox!
